David A. Dewar grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago (Calumet Park) and moved to Chicago's Mt. Greenwood community 40 years ago. He started his career in real estate investment properties and foreclosures in the 80s and 90s. David also worked in the mortgage industry as a mortgage broker and as a real estate broker to match up with his real estate investments.
In the mid-90s David transitioned to helping properly cover families in the life insurance industry, his genuine passion is helping to educate and protect families. Growing in the industry for 15 years, David founded his own company in the year 2010 with Tax-Free Retirement Solutions. He provides life insurance & fixed indexed annuities, brokerage coverage and additional services, including social security analysis and strategies for retirement.
While managing his business, David became an election judge of the 19th ward and remained in that role for 10 years. David's time as an election judge fueled his interest to pursuing a political career for service to his community. It initially propelled him to run in Chicago's 19th ward for Alderman in 2019. And then for Illinois Representative in the 38th District in 2022.
David is now running for Illinois House in the 35th District as your next Representative to serve the PEOPLE! David wants to service his constituents and to be their voice.
David's motto is "We The people, Not We The Politicians" David will put policies over party politics and put the "C" back in "Common sense” laws for the community and the State of Illinois. David's genuine passion is to help educate and protect families just like his business practice. He vows to do the same as the next Illinois Representative in the 35th District!
